This Richard Osborne design is truly a marvelous layout with great scoring opportunity. The fairways are Bermuda and the rough, Bluegrass. The greens are bent grass and are widely regarded as the finest in the area.

Gambit Number # 1
This is an easy straight forward hole to get you off to a good start!
|
Gambit Number # 2
This uphill dog-leg right hole requires a center cut tee shot. Hazards border both sides of the fairway so be sure to stay in the middle.

Gambit Number # 3
This hole is fairly short, but beware
of the out of bounds running down the right side. The fairway bunker
is also strategically placed to swallow a left center tee shot.
|

Gambit Number # 4
The spacious green offered here is welcomed by the gold tee hitters. |

Gambit Number # 5
The first par 5 is a great hole with out
of bounds on the right but plenty of room on the left. Just beware of
the creek that guards the front of the green. |

Gambit Number # 6
This hole is not
long but heavily guarded with deep bunkers. |

|
Gambit Number # 7
This hole is one of
the longer par 5s in the area from the gold tee measuring 595 yards.
There is no real trouble other than a short tee shot which will leave
you plenty to go. |
Gambit Number # 8
Decision time for the
longer hitters. This hole can be driven but you must carry 245 yards
of water that borders the right side. Laying to the middle of the
fairway is the prudent shot, to a green that yields many birdies. |

Gambit Number # 9
This is a great front
side finishing hole. A big draw is the shortest route to the green but
a sloping fairway toward the hazard may have you thinking otherwise.
The big cedar looms large right in the middle of the fairway. |

Gambit Number # 10
The par 4 tenth plays
slightly uphill and the narrow, slick green requires an accurate
approach for a birdie! |

Gambit Number # 11
This small green is guarded by a deep front left side bunker so use plenty of club! |

Gambit Number # 12
If you gave one away
here is a great straight forward hole to get one back! |

Gambit Number # 13
Hit your tee in the center here and you'll have a wedge in your hand to the spacious green! |

Gambit Number # 14
This large green can
be a tough putter but you'd rather have a long putt than drop one in
the lake guarding the front and right! |

Gambit Number # 15
This is a great par 5
to make up some strokes. A good drive will leave a mid iron in your
hand to the green, just be sure to bail out left if needed! |
| Back To Top |
Gambit Number # 16
This hole requires a
good long tee shot to the edge of the lake for a shorter iron to the
green. The big green sits right across the lake! |

Gambit Number # 17
Play your tee to the
center for an approach to the slippery green lying just beyond the
creek! |
Gambit Number # 18
This is the signature hole. Out of
bounds on the left, hazard on the right. If you need a stroke pull out
the driver and give it a go. The tiny green is guarded by a creek in
front. The prudent play is a mid-iron to the center for a wedge to the
green, but.... |
